  1. You really got a lot done in 2019, and it sounds like you are already off to a good start for 2020! I started watching Just Get it Done Quilts channel in 2019 as well. I like that she talks about things she does because she finds them helpful to herself, but doesn’t imply that “THIS IS HOW YOU SHOULD DO THINGS” like some folks do, lol.

I remember when you got that machine. I assume the wooden frame was for hand quilting? Maybe you could have used it for basting your quilts. I seriously have thought about that as a plan, lol. I know you can accomplish what you are setting out to do in January.

    Happy New Year!

    1. I also appreciate people who are like You could do it this way, or not, this is what works for me but there’s tons of options. Because there are tons of options with practically everything.

Her frame was one like Jennifer has, but a much older version… saying it was wood was not a helpful bit of information haha. They offered it to me along with the Juki that she used on it, but I didn’t really have space for a quilt frame that could handle king size quilts.

  2. Wow you got a lot done! The quilting and binding are my hardest part to get to. I’m going to try to do one a month and see if that feels overwhelming or not. I have to do it on my domestic machine so that is a really stopping point for me.
Hope you have a better year. Maybe the stopping and starting of the new year will give you the feeling of change.

  3. Happy New Year!

I don’t think it has been the worst year of my life, but up there for stressful events.
Here is to hoping 2020 is 100% better than 2019 for you!

I really like the Angela Walters quilt you did. I think it’s fine to keep your hard work!

That top is huge! I’m sure your friend will really appreciate having her moms last quilt. It’s a gift to get it back completed regardless of when.

Funny story for you. Since we have moved my daughter has made a few close friends that she instantly connected well with. I give her a hard time that she is living in wrong country because all of her new friends are from different parts of Canada. Living in Texas is a globally diverse neighborhood and she bonds with our northern neighbors 😂

    Happy Crafting

    1. It’s a bit hard to put a pin in something and call it the worst.. it feels like I’m just asking the universe to try harder when I say things like that, but it was rough for sure. I hope 2020 will be much better for you too!

I have a few American friends who like to tell me that spiritually they’re Canadian, they were just born in the wrong country haha. It is funny your daughter has found friends so far away 😀

  4. Happy new year! It’s been a rotten year for so many of our group. Here’s hoping for a much better 2020.

I love your quilting, which I’m sure you know since I keep saying it!

Good call on having the monster quilt outsourced. Holy beans is is big! I’m sure you saved yourself a billion hours of quilting!

    1. A billion hours of quilting and probably some shoulder strain from trying to shovel that thing around and into place haha… I still haven’t started on the binding though – I should really get going on it!
