I am a pretty hard-working attorney, primarily blogging to keep a record for myself of my goals, failures and successes in the non-professional aspects of my life. Currently, those are family and friends, quilting, reading and photography. But they are always evolving...
No video this week—My current progress isn’t really in a good show off spot. But I did make progress this week—I got three different quilts pin basted and ready for quilting. My two Fandom In Stitches Star Trek Rowalong quilts and my bookshelf quilt that had been languishing for a few years. Yay! But all basted up is hard for me to show on camera, but I will add a few pics below of the finished tops. Very excited to get these quilted as two of the three are for ME and they will be the first large projects I’ve ever kept for myself.
I don’t expect to get much more done this week as we will be driving out of town this weekend to go pick up my stepdaughter’s ashes. I am working on focusing on making it a fun trip and finding joy in her life and the time and experiences we did have instead of just being sad (although I’m sure there will be some of that also). But it will be nice to come back to fun projects to work on next week. Meanwhile I wish everyone a happy new year and look forward to watching your videos.
I’m getting this in just under the wire as Christmas Day is over in half an hour but I just wanted to wish all you wonderful TTMT-ers a very Merry Christmas and holiday seasons. I don’t have any sewing to share this week, but I am thinking of all of you and wishing everyone the best and looking forward to what we all will get to share next year.
Hi. Just a quick check in to keep in touch even though I didn’t get anything created or a video made. I have a family member in the hospital and not doing well, so no real time or motivation for projects. But I really didn’t want to disappear like last week, so wanted you guys to know I’m thinking of you and will be back when I can. In the meantime I’m including pics of quilts I had discussed last year before I dropped off and then finished after that, so I don’t think you saw them finished. I will watch videos and comment when I can. Elizabeth
Thanks again to everyone for being so welcoming and congratulations to you all on your 10 year anniversary of TTMT! That really is impressive! And thanks, Jennifer O, for coordinating the amazing fat quarter lotto giveaway for your own birthday. And congrats to Rainey on her win! I’m so excited to have won–though I was sitting there so excited to see whoever won because now I would maybe have a face to put to the name and it would be so exciting to see a new friend win, so I was super stunned when it was my name.
Oh, and as usual, I forgot something I was thinking of talking about–we got a new rug this week, so hopefully I’ll remember to talk about it next week. Meanwhile, happy May to everyone!
