Lol I was Mom motivated too this year. I sent her a table topper
I like the placemats. They are fun and cheerful.
Oooooh that mini looks so good.
I like the sun set look. Really looks great.
I love Sew Sweetness patterns. She does wonderful stuff.
Oh I think hand sanitizer is here to stay. I think Covid has made a good number of people more aware of germs.
Good to see you back and crafty.
A nice chill Thanksgiving was good for us. I enjoyed it. I think we all need more social interactions at this point. Iām homebody but this is to much even for me.
I hope the Sew Sweetness totes are going to turn out–I normally just wing it with tote bags and don’t do something as sort of elaborate as this with pockets and inset zipper and hardware, and that thicker foamy interfacing. We shall see. š
On a side note, was amused entirely by your moving joke recently! Never would have thought to do that–so funny.
I think your place mats look really nice. I like how different they each look. The backs could be used as a placemat, too. It looks like it would work for a more formal meal. Glad to see you this week.
Thanks, yes, agreed, she could always use the backs sometimes. I really like dresden circles for some reason but they do take a bit of time and just haven’t seemed to fit in with the projects I’ve found myself doing, but something small like this was a great way to get a little bit of that without it being too much.
I’m so sorry for your loss. This has been a tough year in general but even more so for those that have lost loved ones, without the usual ways of being able to gather together to celebrate their lives.
I like your placemats, I have always loved the look of dresdens but have not yet made any. I just think they look cool.
Oh the silhouette wall hangings are amazing, so very cool!
I have never been much of a hand sanitizer user until recently. Needless to say nowadays I do have a purse size one and something like that would be really useful and I wouldn’t have to worry about it always falling out of the outside pocket of my bag. I don’t understand how those get made with an embroidery machine, but then I don’t have one, so I guess the point is moot, lol.
I agree about dresdens, they really appeal to me. No idea why. But I’ve only done a couple–I think they are a lot of work to make a huge project out of, but this small project was perfect.
I would love to send you a couple of these sanitizer holders if you would send me your address. Do we have a private message option on here?
I think the Dresden plate placemats are very cheery and kind of fun. I e never really thought about variations on Dresdens.. who knew there were so many variations?
I had no idea I could do something where the blades were different sizes until I got this book. (Her book, though, does the construction as english paper piecing, which is not my bag, so I had to convert the instructions myself to just doing it by machine the way I learned, but other than that, I love the patterns she has in there and the idea behind it.)
Oh Iām so sorry about your loss.
