It doesn’t matter what your hair looks like, it’s just good to see you!
Those last blocks look interesting…are they HST the a chunk cut through the middle and reversed? I really like the black & white quilt top blocks. I’ve been hoarding black & white for a while now…might have to finally tackle it.
It’s a sort of weird block… you cut a square on point out from the middle of a layer cake square, then sew in a contrasting square, then cut it like an hst and swap half from the Print+Contrast block with half from the Contrast+Print one. So each layercake pair gives you 2 blocks.
I’m really loving the black and white too! I think it’s going to be good!

This is the longest my hair has been in… 10 or 12 years maybe? I used to have it down to my bum, then chopped it off into a bob and never looked back. I haven’t had it cut much through the pandemic, so it’s just getting longer and longer. I don’t know what to do with it next. I’m ready for a change, but don’t have a hair stylist right now, so I’m a little wary of turning the reigns over to just anyone. (And honestly, when you have a round face like mine, you can tell them to do whatever they like and they will always default to a bob that hits a little below the chin in some futile attempt to make that round face look longer instead of rounder.)
I like the star blocks too.. they were fun to make! It kind of makes me want to make more and put together a bigger version of it, but I really don’t need to start anything new 😀

I’m really happy with the one for my sister.. it’s super simple, but I think it looks really good all put together. I’ve derailed myself with the christmas project, but I’m looking forward to coming back to it.
