Is there a knitting/Crochet police as well as a quilting and cross stitch police, love the idea of working on 2 shawls at one, I really wish I could knit but i make such an awkward job of it that I have just about given up trying.
Lovely stuff and plans as always. xx

I don’t think there is a knitting police but there sure are yarn snobs lol. It is rare to find a knitter that only knits on one project at a time. Most knitters have several projects going at once. I try to limit myself to one hat, one shawl, one pair of socks, etc. I don’t feel the need to knit on several of the same type of project because even though the pattern is different it is still a hat to me. I love knitting shawls but my other shawl takes so much concentration that I just wanted a fun shawl to work on.

I have been enjoying watching your crumb block videos. Some day I will begin making crumb blocks, but this is not the day.
Love that shawl. And the new projects look fun and educational.

You have so many things going on, as usual, I love the idea of the embroidery stitch sampler. And I agree about the smaller sashing on the crumb blocks. Good luck on all the things!

Busy, busy as per usual! I think I’ve mentioned it before, but we have a couple of sisters who volunteer for The Linus Connection who take everyone else’s scraps and they use them to make crumb block quilts. They are all gorgeous! I always love seeing what crazy fabrics they manage to put together and make work. 🙂
So, I have ridiculously bad eyesight, and even with my fancy glasses, I end up sitting with my nose close to the monitor to watch your videos so I can see what you’re showing. I very much enjoy your content and I will keep watching, but as a fellow TTMTer, I thought I should mention it. Have you considered having your camera closer to where you’re sitting? It would show your smiling face better, too! Please take this as a constructive comment and not a criticism. That’s how it’s meant. 🙂

I completely understand the camera distance issue. I do post a link on YouTube to my blog where I have pictures so everyone can get a close up view. I would love to bring the camera closer but at the moment due to some dental issues I don’t feel comfortable zooming in on my face. I’m working on getting everything fixed but dental work is so expensive.I appreciate the input and I know it comes from a good place. Maybe I’ll switch over to the over head view for a bit and see how everyone likes that.
I am in awe of the Linus ladies that only make crumb quilts. It’s a bit of a process and while I enjoy making them I’m not sure if I would enjoy making that many. Although it is a great use of scraps. I think my issue would be in the quilting process. Maybe a long arm would be easier but on my domestic machine quilting over all those seams can be a pain.
