In which I I FINALLY am quilting again. I quilted one of the 10 Project Linus tops I have waiting to be quilted and it felt great. Maybe I’ll even get it bound and labeled in time to turn in this Saturday at the monthly Project Linus meeting. I’ll make sure to take photos once it’s bound and labeled. Stay crafty, y’all!

TTMT #769 – Quilt For Good & Travel Prep
Hello, my friends!
I’m back this week with six more finished quilts, finally wrapping up the backlog of charity quilt tops sent to me by friends. I no longer accept donations personally and encourage you to find somewhere local to you for future donations. All quilts shown will be donated through Project Linus in Albuquerque during an upcoming visit with Jewells!
I also share a couple of other odds and ends, including some Cricut crafts.

TTMT #768 – Quilt for Good: 8 Quilts…Again!
Hello, friends! I’m back this week with eight more charity quilt finishes, two of mine, and six from other TTMTers. All of these quilts are destined for Project Linus in Albuquerque, NM during an upcoming BFF visit!
The first two quilts were made by me from donated orphan blocks, Mermaid quilts were made by Kristel, baby animals by Susan P, and scrappy quilts by Sarah in Houston.
All 8 quilts were free-motion quilted by me on my Grace Q’Nique 15R. My little Singer 301 got a workout doing binding, so much so that I’ve had to order a part for the bobbin case!
SWAPPERS: 2024 Swap mail-by date is Thursday, March 7, 2024. Please mail no earlier than FRIDAY, March 1, 2024, so that we all receive during the same time frame. (I said the first is Thursday…oops!)

TTMT #493 – jewells68 – December 26, 2023 – 4 Finished Quilts
In which I show four “ready to donate” quilts that I finished for Project Linus last week. So far only 30% through the 14 tops I had ready to quilt, but after quilting like gangbusters I hit a wall and didn’t get any further. I’m still very happy to have gotten 4 quilts quilted and bound and labeled and ready to donate in January.

I keep having these manic swings from crafting nonstop in my non-work time to sitting in front of the tv for days on end. This is part of why I am working to finish my personal projects as well as whittle down all my Linus stuff. It’s just too much. I bagged up 4 tall kitchen bags of clothing to donate yesterday and it felt good. Going to try to continue in that vein throughout the house as I feel the urge come upon me.

In which I talk about my goals for the rest of this year regarding Project Linus, going through all my charity quilt fabric, and continuing my quest to downsize my stash and the number of storage bins in my craft room. I also show pics of the 4 fleece backs I managed to piece from remnants on my serger last week. Those backs will be used to create comfy blankets for shelter pets.

In which I show off FOUR finished Project Linus quilts that will be donated this Saturday morning, one of which came from Jennifer O, and three by me, including Dinos visit Beartown… FINALLY! Also the finished Dia del Los Muertos quilt, which I named ¡Todas Las Calaveras! , that I made for my friend Grace. It feels so very good to have gotten so much done over the past couple of weeks, but I am really going to need this vacation, lol. Now it’s time to focus 100% of my crafty efforts on the Tamagotchi Quilt. Can she get it done? Only time will tell… Stay crafty my friends!

TTMT #470 – jewells68 – June 20, 2023 – ALL THE PINK
In which I talk about loading 2 small quilts on the frame, a busy week, and show you the fabric I’m using for my great-niece Madi’s Tamagotchi quilt.
Something I’m only mentioning here, I don’t think I’ve told y’all that I have taken over managing the Hip Stitch Youtube Channel. I have made several videos for the shop, and I had a blast with the most recent one all about the MANY different bird-themed fabrics the shop has in stock (and I didn’t even find them all, I’m not kidding), but it’s been 10 days since I posted because I need some inspiration. We are supposed to be having some basic quilting tutorials from Sybil, who taught the shop’s monthly video class last year on the history of modern art and incorporating it into quilting, which is still available on the shop website. She is going to make short videos demonstrating things like rotary cutting basics, choosing your fabrics, getting a qtr-inch seam, etc. Unfortunately , she (understandably) hasn’t been feeling up to it due to her cancer treatments, so I need some ideas so I can do a video at least weekly that’s not just showing off what’s new in the shop. I want them to be fun and entertaining to build subscribers while I wait for Sybil’s technique videos to be ready for me to share. So I’m reaching out to my TTMT family for some ideas and inspiration! It can be educational, entertaining, silly, but needs to be related to fabric and/or quilting/sewing. Halp! Please and thank you. 😉
