TTMT #46 HOOT! HOOT!

Sorry about any focus issues in the beginning. I’m not sure what happened. They weren’t there during editing. It clears up before the show & tell segment.

  1. I really like your finished UFO. And you already know that I really really like those cute little owls.
Good idea on chain piecing the bears. It may not feel like your accomplishing as much as if you made one per week, but it sure does cut down on the amount of time you spend on each one.

Nice border for the Freedom block. One idea for mitered corners: Cut your border sides and top to the size of the block; then make 4 half-square triangle squares that will fit (4″ border = 4″ square). Attach sides; then attach the squares to the top and bottom borders making sure the stripes run the right way and then attach to the top and bottom of the quilt. That it gives the appearance of mitered corners.

    1. Okay that makes sense I think lol. I’ll give that a try on the next project. I think for this one I’m going to make some blue stars and applique them to the corners. Thanks!

  2. Hi! I had a thought about your patriotic mini quilt. You could use corner squares and stitch a star or fireworks burst or something in each corner. I like the binding. Have a great week!

    1. I love your Dr. Who quilt! It would be fun with anything in the center squares. I was thinking Harry Potter themed owls would be fun. I don’t use my owls as pincushions.
