I didn’t explain about this “I had ‘a week’ ” business in the video, partly because it would have taken too long to explain and I’m trying very hard to be positive.
Last week, I inadvertently damaged my mid-arm. I’m driving it up to Temple tomorrow to the closest Grace dealer so it can be repaired without invalidating the warranty. I’m taking a friend and we’re visiting a couple of quilt stores after we drop it off. Making lemonade here!
We also had our credit card skimmed, probably at a gas station during our road trip, but our bank has taken care of it, so, you know, a fresh start. That does, however, mean that I’m visiting quilt stores tomorrow without a credit card, so that’s probably a good thing. 😉
There’s more, but I feel like that is more than enough to explain!
I neglected to mention that ALL the scrap fabric I was clearing out is gone! Thank you to everyone who helped me clean out my overloaded stash. I hope you get lots of use out of the bits and pieces and would love to see what you do with it!
I had an entirely different cat cameo recorded for this week, but it would not import. Maybe next week!
In which I show you the awesome box of fabric received from Susan in NC. Her generous gift will make the backs (and fronts!) of many a Project Linus quilt to come! And maybe a TTMT swap quilt, too! My accuquilt go is getting quite the workout this week!
I’m probably more amused by my title than I should be. 😛
Also, I recorded this yesterday because I was stuck at home waiting for UPS. I say “today” several times. That would now be yesterday. 😉
Edited to add this photo! I didn’t make the “Spiderman connection” between Jeanie’s & Karen’s packages until I was editing the video. I vaguely remembered having another Spiderman block in my orphan blocks and dug around until I found it. I would say this is on it’s way to being a good sized charity quilt for Linus!
In which I show what I’ve gotten done so far on the Chinrest cover plus my swap strips and some surprise mail from Susan. So there’s stuff to show, it’s just most of it wasn’t made by me.
