It’s good to hear that you survived the quilt police! It sounds like you took the wind out of the instructor’s sails just a little bit by doing your own thing but I’m glad to hear she got over it in the end. Your blocks are coming along nicely.

Whenever my students ask me what fabric they “should” use, I ask them what they WANT to use. Good for you doing what pleased you. I feel like as long as a student isn’t rude why kick up a fuss over them doing their own thing?
