TTMT #713 – Treepocalypse

In which I share absolutely nothing crafty but do talk about our last week. We were hit hard during the winter storms here in Austin and the damage is still unbelievable. We feel very fortunate that all of our people and pets are okay. BIG thanks to everyone who checked on us or offered help. ♥

I forgot to mention that I did have to reschedule my most recent surgical follow-up. I hope it’s the last time I have to reschedule an appointment because my car is under a tree!

  1. I am so glad you and your family (including the pets) are ok, The Yeti cooler did it’s job. Camping in the house.
Sad the elm tree went bye bye. Maybe you can plant a new tree this year.

  2. I was just angry that there was nothing I could do for you except chat as much as possible. The only yeti thing I own is a tumbler and I will say it keeps hot stuff hot for HOURS and the same for cold. So I can only imagine how good a cooler would be.

I am so sorry you had to go through all of that. What a shitty start to the year this has been. I’m so glad road to resolution. I hate dealing with insurance so much.

    1. At times the stress was so bad, I thought I was going to faint. The buzzing in my ears was real! I definitely appreciated the distraction, even though I know my answers were probably not as well thought and emphatic as they normally are!
That cooler is crazy. I still can’t believe how well it worked. I should have said in my video that it could have been much worse in the kitchen because I hadn’t been shopping for about a week and a half leading up to the storm. We were overdue for groceries!

  3. Oh I’m so sorry y’all went through this. It’s so stressful.

Yeti is well worth the money. They are so good. We had friends with them camping with Girl Scouts. Our food was cold for days no problem. Definitely so nice in a emergency like this!
