My dear friends, in this video I share an update on my post-op and talk about what you’ve all been asking me: why I can no longer take donations on behalf of The Linus Connection.
If you have mailed a quilt top to me in the last six months or so and you haven’t seen it quilted yet, please let me know if you are okay with my donating to a charity organization at a later date. I won’t be able to quilt for some time yet and I don’t know where my donations will be going at that time.
The orphan blocks you send will still be used to #quiltforgood because that is what I love to do.

Oh boy…I’ve had similar experiences in groups, and yeah, it hurts. Consider it a message that it’s time for a course correction, and sail on to new horizons. 🙂 Positive vibes for continued healing.

Thank you, Laura, it’s always lovely to hear from you. A course correction is the way that I have decided to deal with this. I was going to resign this year, just not this soon or this quickly.

I am very sorry that that happened. Especially after 20 years of blood sweat and tears going in. This will be a new chapter and free to do what EVER you want. I can’t wait to see what you have been reserving!!

Having watched this unfold from the beginning I am still really upset on your behalf because I know what a huge part pf your life this organization has been and just how very much of yourself you have given. I know whatever you decide to do, when you decide to do it, you will do with an open and giving heart, just like you did to TLC. Here’s to new chapters and healing your heart as well as your foot. My heart breaks for you my friend. about 25 years ago, I had the same experience with an org. that I loved. You are one of the kindest, hardest working and most generous people I have ever known and I’m sure whatever you decide to do next will be successful and rewarding. If you still have any of my quilt tops, wherever and whenever you want them to go is fine with me. Much love to you!!!!!

Thank you, Susan! I’ve heard from several people who have had a similar experience. It’s been a lot, but I’m surrounded by people who love me and that has made all the difference.
I still have a few of your tops and they will go to a good home when I’m able to quilt again. ♥

I was so angry after hearing this. I kept shaking my head “No, no, no”. Now I’m sad that this was done to you. You’ll always have our support and obviously they don’t realize what they’re giving up.

Thanks, Abbie. The craziest part to me is all they had to do was wait and this would have been a slow, simple transition. I would have still been around to quilt, and help, and answer questions but that ship really has sailed now.
