Mini Book Nerd came out really cute. Great fabrics! The quilting reminds me of what’s on my original paper piecing vintage. It was also not quite a Baptist fan. I don’t even remember the name of the quilter who did that…
I have lived in Texas all except for about two and a half years of my life and I have never been to Padre, lol. I’m so glad you enjoyed it!

Just sitting and watching the waves was so relaxing. And Fall is great because it’s not quite as hot or as crowded. The marriott and the hyatt are on either side of the beach bar we were at the first night we were all there and they would be GREAT places to stay. The Marriott has a beautiful beach restaurant/bar too.

I love the book quilt. Great use of selvages.
I have friends at the Balloons fest this week. They love it.
I have been to S Padre. Bob and Matt camped on the beach there the first time we lived in Texas. It’s definitely a place we intend to go to soonish. As in while we still live in the state lol
I can’t wait to see you in November!!!!

I’ve been to S Padre Island twice – once in summer, once in winter. It’s lovely, though I’m deeply intimidated by oceans and was wildly sunburned the time I went in summer, so I guess my feelings are a bit mixed haha. (I mean, we used a lot of sunscreen, but my scalp burned like crazy and there was a patch on my back that got missed and and and…)
Anyway, I’m glad you had a great time with your family!
