TTMT Video

TTMT #411 – jewells68 – September 13, 2021 – Hey y’all, I finished some stuff!

Buckle up!

So I apologize in advance for this being long, BUT, consider it a month’s worth of video in less than 20 minutes! I’ll try to record at least one more time before the end of September so the next one won’t be so long. Meanwhile, if you can make it through this, you’ll see several finished quilts and a whole load of donated fabrics for charity quilt-making. Also WINE. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  1. Yaaay, it’s so good to see your face! Short hair is short!

Dan’s quilt came out so beautifully. I have no doubt it means a lot. The next time I’m at Joann, I plan to go pet the fleece. ๐Ÿ˜‰ The ribbon label, is, of course, perfect. I need to make one I can show in a video because I loved playing with the embroidered version!

Re the hot firemen, etc. My Linus group doesn’t accept imagery that could be considered sexual in case it’s triggering for an abuse survivor. I think sometimes our volunteers know the rules, but have no idea why because the rule gets passed on but not the why of it. Different group, but the same mission, so maybe your group is the same reason, too?

So. Much. Good. Fabric. The alien fabric shouted tie-dye to me first, so maybe that’s why they thought of you? I am going to declare you the panel queen if you aren’t careful! ๐Ÿ˜›

    Cheers! ๐Ÿท

    1. Oh you know THAT makes perfect sense about the sexual imagery. I didn’t even think of that. If I can’t decide what to do with it I’ll just donate it. That’s what Linus would have done with it if I hadn’t agreed to take it.

There was something about those two panels that just seemed like they should be put together somehow. I really need to stop bringing home fabric though. Holy Mole my space is crowded as it is!

  2. Ooh I like your haircut. So cute

I love the quilt for your brother in law. Itโ€™s really beautiful. Iโ€™m sure it will bring him comfort.

I love the car quilt. Susan sends fabulous Linus tops. Definitely smart way to do the labels.

I say make a Hot dude quilt for the teens. Come on Man weโ€™ve all been teens ๐Ÿคฃ

Lol Why did they think of you? Thatโ€™s so funny. ๐Ÿ‘ฝ ๐Ÿ‘ฝ๐Ÿ‘ฝ๐Ÿ‘ฝ

Oh I love the bike fabric.

So many nice fabrics you brought home.

Good to see your face ๐Ÿ˜

    Happy Crafting

    1. I really love the car quilt so much. And Susan’s, too. It will be nice to get these finished and out the door in October.

Jennifer O gave a really good reason in her comment above for not allowing the use of the sexy man fabric that had not occurred to me at all, but makes perfect sense.”

I’m not sure about the alien thing. I think they just know I like weird stuff, lol. So many good fabrics. And there was so much fabric donated it was ridiculous.

It felt good to make a video! Hopefully I will keep up a little better from now on.

      1. Oh I definitely understand. I was just kidding around. Iโ€™m sure someone or something will come from the Hot Dudes fabric.

I think they know you are fantastic with making things with weird stuff. Was it a tomato top? Or corn? I just know you definitely make so fun stuff.

I am happy you made a video! It was good to see your face ๐Ÿ˜„

    1. Possibly, but I was thinking if I made something for Silver Horizons to sell in their thrift store then tey could use the money for helping seniors pay their utility bills or give them free groceries. I really like that idea.

  3. Looks like you picked up lots of fun new fabrics to work with.. that starry ombre in purple/pink is SO pretty! Funny about the aliens ๐Ÿ˜€ I love all your dark purples too… such a good colour.

Looks like you finished up a fair bit of stuff – it all looks great… fun kids quilts. And the one for your BIL turned out really well.
