  1. Happy Anniversary! Sounds like you had a great trip. As a railfan I’ll have to add the Portland RR to the bucket list of Railroads to ride. Looks like you picked up some really neat souvenirs.

  2. What a wonderful Anniversary trip. This time last year you wouldn’t have been able to do all the things – not only because of Covid, but also because of the physical limitations. So happy you can walk unimpeded now
Tim and I love trains too. We’ve always wanted to go on the Horseshoe Curve in Pennsylvania but looks like we won’t be able to go. We did ride the train from here (well Greensboro) to D.C. and enjoyed that. We’ve also ridden the Great Smokey Railroad from Bryson City, NC to Gatlinburg, TN. Fun trip.

    1. We discussed my walking abilities a lot on this trip. It was such a relief to be able to walk all over with my favorite guy. 🙂

Thank you for the train mentions, I’ll have to keep those in mind. ♥

  3. What a perfect destination, especially after the last couple of years, AND all the heat. I’m thinking you should choose someplace like that every year, that’s not in the south, lol. Maybe go to Alaska one year, Canada, Switzerland, Iceland, anywhere that is NOT hot, lol.

What a great haul too, those are fantastic souvenirs.

  4. I’m so happy you were able to experience some New England hospitality! Everything is a little bit different here. Some day come during the fall for the colors. Glad you were able to get a little sun, we seem to be stuck in a rainy pattern. Have had one sunny day in the past 2 weeks.

The only souvenir I still have from a trip to texas when I was a teenager is a little armadillo stuffie 😀 I like your little lobster (although the real thing gross me out).

  6. What a fun trip! Glad you had such a wonderful time and that you had so much good weather. (I’m seeing this in August but the Big Boy train is coming into Houston next week. Luckily we have seen it before.) Also, it’s amazing – We’ve been married 20 years long than you!!!) Getting older is amazing.
