  1. The back works so, so well for your retreat quilt and of course for Susan’s top. Gotta love a twofer! Six quilts is amazing. It’s JULY and you’re already almost there! Woo!

    I’m so excited you get to have Linus again AND a sew day! I suspect you have some binding to do. ♥

    1. I can’t believe I already have so many done! Moxie was a great decision!
      Work is going pretty ok. My new office-mate is super experienced and she is very friendly and helpful.

  2. I enjoy quilting 2 at the same time. Just feels more productive. Those 2 are really cute.

    I’m so happy your Linus is back to normal. That’s gotta feel good.

    1. Moxie can only quilt up to like 82 inches wide, so two baby size quilts totally maxes out my quilting width, but I love how much it speeds up the Linus quilting, especially now I can just bind one or two each weekend.

      I am feeling much better. it’s still a ton of work but I’m finding my way around the tasks a little more quickly and smoothly now. It helps that I have several folks that can jump in if I’m near deadline and behind.

      1. Are you sewing the binding to the front of the quilts before taking them off the frame (assuming you are machine sewing to the front and hand sewing on the back)? I find that before I unframe it, I have it all perfectly flat and perfect for sewing the binding on. It takes about a few minutes and is so much easier for me. I trim the batting and backing after I take it off. So, when I say I’m avoiding binding…it’s already half done.

        I knew you would settle in quickly. Supporting people are always a good thing. Just about every job I’ve ever had involved new software, but it seems to get easier to learn each time because it is different but similar–of course, you haven’t moved and changed jobs lately. Glad you’ll feeling better.

  3. Yay! Both quilts are so cute. Glad there was enough backing for both.
    Yay! That’s for at least some aspects of life getting back to normal. So nice to be able to go to meetings and have sew days.
    I am wishing you luck on the new job even though I don’t think you’ll need it. You’ve got this, girl!!!

      I am so looking forward to Linus, even though I don’t expect to have anything ready to donate on Saturday.

      the job gets a little more doable each week as I find my way around everything that needs doing and get the tools I need to get things done. You are right, I can do this!

    1. We’ve been meeting in person for several months, but outside in a picnic area outside the Multigenerational Center. Now we get to be inside, which is going to be so much nicer.

      I was so glad Susan’s backing was big enough to do them both at once. Now I just have to find time to get them bound and finished.

    1. The work is A LOT. Too much for one person to do in 40 hours per week. Which is why I am doing a good part of it, but 3 other people have taken on parts of it as well. I can’t honestly see when, if ever, I will be able to do it all, and I’ve told my boss that. only time will tell how this will unfold. Meanwhile, I go in and do what I can each day and then leave. That’s all I can do. I’m not bringing it home with me.

        1. I think a shuffling of duties is imminent in the next few months. We shall see. The ladies I work with are great at what they do and are super supportive and helpful. So I think we will make a good team.
