  1. The rings turned out great. Definitely two thumbs up.

Finding a place for your son to live so close to campus is fantastic. And making a costume for your son great.

Linus quilts are coming along. I’m sure you will have them all bound and ready to go.

  2. Nice rings! You are so artistic in many mediums. Another example: costuming. You always find a way to turn it out.
Congrats on finding such a great place so near campus.
So happy for you to be able to get back to face to face Linus meetings. I am sure that you are all looking forward to that. Speaking of Linus, I mailed off the tops I told you I was sending. Feel free to do whatever you want with them – cut them up, add to them, distribute to other Linus members – it’s your call. The postal clerk told me the box should arrive “around Monday”.

    1. Thank you, lady! I couldn’t remember if I’d ever shared my jewelry-making past with you all!

Oh, now I’m excited! I will keep an eye out for your package. Thank you so much. I’m going to need quilting to help with my son-just-moved-out (again!) processing. ♥

  3. The rings turned out really great! That’s kind of neat that you can get flat wire to make that process a little easier… it’s kind of amazing how much stuff is available out there for crafting/art.

The costume turned out well… I think I’d have done the same thing to finish the gold trim… binding just feels like the best way to get that on.

    1. Believe me, I was super excited to find out about the wire! Back when I took jewelry at university, I was cutting strips out of a flat stock. Loads more work!

He likes the costume, so that’s enough for me!

  4. Oooh the rings are adorable. I did jewelry and metal work in high school. I loved it and wished they had more available to do. The flat wire is really cool.

Yay for the nice campus house.

So happy for in person Linus!

  5. Oh my – I didn’t realize I hadn’t read this one. Sounds like the new apartment will be just what he needs. Loved hearing the wildlife/outdoors noises.

  6. Things are starting to get back to good… good place for G to live at school, fun new crafty supplies, in-person Linus meetings… yay for ALL of that. And belated thanks for the good wishes. I’m finally starting to feel like I can do this. Maybe not with the same, um, let’s call it fervor, as the person I am replacing, but competency at the very least! lol

  7. My minor in college was Fine Arts! I studied a lot of drawing, but also stained glass and all kinds of great things. The rings are awesome! How fun and great results.

Wait…your favorite Physicist went SHOPPING first?!? We (and you) all know you were going to make it. Great job on the costume.

It’s so nice to see you so all refreshed with everything/everyone where you want it.
