TTMT #49 Week 2 of the KH quilt and charity quilts

Please excuse me today. My right ear is completely swollen and hearing myself talk is weird.

I’m adding a few pictures of the charity quilts and the orange fabrics I have used.

  1. I am always amazed how much you get done on top of working. I come home and I’m just done for the day. If I get anything done on a weekday, it’s in the morning before work.

Those quits are wonderful, it’s great you were able to get so many done! And they don’t scream christmassy, so I’m sure they will work out just fine.

    1. Thank you. It kind of works opposite for me. when my day is stressful, I can always count on my crafting to get my mind off of things. I also like to do most of my prep work during the week like ironing and cutting so on the weekends I can sew. It doesn’t always work out that way, like this week I haven’t done anything. But sometimes if a project is so close to being done, I can’t let it go until I see it through.Drives me crazy.

  2. Dang! You are pumping things out!

I like the oranges. You can always use the extra for some kind of Volunteers quilt. โค๏ธ

The jelly quilts are super nice. I love the rounded corners. I have only done it a few times. Iโ€™m always a wreck cutting the corners off. But I do love how it looks.

    Call them portable placemats ๐Ÿคฃ

    1. Portable placemats! I love it. Every now and then I get a surge of energy and just sew and sew..this was one of them weekends. Sometimes it’s fun to work on a project that you can see immediate results.
Funny you said a Volunteer quilt. My “claimed” adopted daughter is having a baby and that would be perfect! I claim her as one of mine ๐Ÿ™‚
Thank you! I haven’t cut corners in a couple years, but I do like it.

  3. Oh my goodness, lady, you were productive! I just love the charity quilts. They look so squashy and nice.

Those are fantastic oranges & I love your idea of doing a scrappy background. I am sure it’ll look fantastic.

I hope your ear feels better soon. That echo-y weirdness is no fun!

    1. It was fun working on a simple pattern for a change. I plan on working on a couple simple ones this weekend, but I wasn’t able to get the prep work done so maybe not as much.
Thank you about the oranges, My husband keeps telling me he thinks this one is gonna be his favorite. Maybe because the orange was his idea ๐Ÿ™‚ . I was the one deciding on the scrappy.
I went to the doctor and they loaded me up with meds. Main reason I haven’t gotten much done.It finally took me down, feeling better today. Hoping tomorrow to be back to sewing. That’s the plan anyways.

  4. I hope you’re feeling a bit better now!

Those jelly roll quilts look like a really simple but nice way to use up some fabric! They turned out really great.

I don’t know KH at all, but the blocks look amazing!
