TTMT #527 – Present, Past, Future

I neglected to mention that ALL the scrap fabric I was clearing out is gone! Thank you to everyone who helped me clean out my overloaded stash. I hope you get lots of use out of the bits and pieces and would love to see what you do with it!

  1. The quilt for your brother is really fantastic in every version of it there was! I love square meanders. Some quilts just cry out for angles instead of swirls or swoops.

Sorry the RSI is acting up but hopefully by the time you are home from the road trip you’ll be ready to piece again.

I literally laughed out loud about the orphan blocks. OMG I have got to get some of these tops from last year quilted and donated so by the time my retreat rolls around I can piece more!

    1. His quilt morphed, as you know, several times. I’m pleased he liked it so much! I love the look of square meander. Very fortunately, I knew I wanted to do that way before it was done!

I’m pretty sure the RSI flare up is from all the work I’ve been doing on the Linus website. I didn’t want to say that in the video because a lot of volunteers watch. It’s my mouse arm as well as my paper piecing arm!

Orphan blocks… I have so many now! Retreat, retreat, retreat!

  2. You’ll get your QYOA done. No worries.
As I said on FB, I just LOVE the Ink quilt. Sometimes doing things backwards is just the right way to do a certain project. Such a wonderful gift. Of course, the square meander is the perfect quilting for it.
Great to see you. I know you’ll enjoy your trip and anniversary because you enjoy adventures!
