TTMT #80 – I’ve got nothing…

Apparently, when I have nothing to show you (spent the week designing and flooding), I just show you the shirt I got in the mail and the shirt I’m wearing….

  1. I am so very sorry to hear about your car. I would imagine it was scary. Hopefully they will get you going soon.
Sounds like you have your hands full with whats going on.There’s no reason to rush. Remember this is supposed to be fun and help release the stress, not add to it.
The logo would be really cool to do!

  2. Oh my! Glad you are ok and were able to get out of your car. I have gotten stuck at work because of the water level on the road. Thankfully they wouldn’t let us leave work. When we exit the parking lot its about a 20 foot drop to the main road. The water was inching its way up above the 20 feet.
Hope you get some wheels soon!

    1. That sounds bad. I wish they would at least find time to LOOK at my car and tell me what they’re going to do. I’m in the “catastrophic damage” group right now because so many claims have been filed from that 1-hour rain.

  3. Yay for TTMT shirts! I love seeing those out there. 🙂 It was a day for “Mom” shirts!

I also go through phases of designing and not sewing. It happens.

Ugh, I am so sorry to hear about your car, but I’m really glad you’re okay. How scary!

  4. Love the shirts! You’re a bit like me. I have nothing to talk about yet I can manage to talk for over 10 minutes. 🤪

Flash flooding is so scary. You hear about It and see It on tv but It has to even scarier to experience It. I’m glad you’re okay. Waiting on insurance adjusters is the pits. We go through that down here with the storms/hurricanes.

    1. Talking is something I don’t always do well, but I do do a lot.
The hurricanes really slow things down. The adjuster was finally supposed to look at my car today, but I haven’t heard anything back. It’s soooooo frustrating.

  5. The wolf would definitely make a good quilt block, and there are a lot of schools it would be good for, too.

I am so sorry to hear about your car, but glad you escaped with no physical harm. I really hope you are able to work something out for transportation.

    1. I’m so frustrated with my insurance carrier…now telling me it will be 14 days from the report of claim before they can inspect it!!! Trying not to yell at anyone right now. But thanks for the nice thoughts.

    1. One person drowned that day…in a car about 1/2 mile from here. I do know I was lucky. I stayed calm and was thinking, so I got out at a good time. I wasn’t scared, but I tend to not panic DURING a crisis. Thankfully. There was a guy yelling things at me like “Roll down your window!” in rain so thick I couldn’t see him, and things like that. I wasn’t sinking in a lake or anything! So I stayed calmed, ignored him, and stayed dry from the waist up so I could carry some things out with me. Living through hurricanes and having a family house on the Gulf of Mexico all my life has taught me to respect the power of water and wind. So far, so good. I don’t miss my “old” car at all since I got the new one (ha ha). I had the old one for 2 years (it was a 2016) and my new one has 11,000 miles on it (a 2018). And no car payments until August. So I’m fine with that. If I hadn’t been paying my auto loan ahead, I would have owed the bank thousands of dollars and still not had a car. I was really worried about what the insurance would pay, but they paid off the note and I got a new one. A little more each month, and more years to pay, but I’m okay with that.
