  1. I hope you get your sewing mojo back. Don’t give up on hedwig! Sometimes you just have to take a break and do something else and then come back and suddenly it clicks.

  2. I think most people go through stages with their crafts.. maybe you’re just in an off stage with the quilting, and that’s okay! You’ll come back to it when you feel like it! I’m sure Hedwig will be brilliant when you get her tackled. Some of those blocks in those HP quilt alongs looked pretty intense, but they look fantastic finished.

  3. I had to laugh when you said you turned off auto correct on your phone. Auto correct drives me crazy too. It seems to get worse with every update.

  4. I laughed out loud about the autocorrect. I have a love/hate relationship with it. I love the typing faster but hate that I sound illiterate at times. I may have to consider turning it off as well.

I bet you can’t get into the sewing room because it’s baseball season.

I hope you’re Sewing Mojo has returned. I would leave Hedwig be for a bit if he is causing frustration and come back to him later.

    Happy Crafting

  5. I have paper phases and fabric phases. But I do what I feel like doing, and I get it all done eventually.
Hedwig just needs to be put in time-out. She’ll be fine next time you work on her.
I’m glad your eye will be better soon. My mother had to “retire” from quilting because of her glaucoma and arthritis, and I have both…so I’m very happy for you, so you can stay with knitting and quilting.
Autocorrect can be a blessing and a curse. I have to tell you, though, I need autocorrect for my brain/eyes. I finally got online at work today and was reading Jennifer O’s post about the “tricky angles”…I scrolled down, following exactly what she was doing/talking about, and was intently going down it…and it ended. I thought, “Did she have it in 2 parts or something?” I looked around, and I just DIDN’T SEE ANY ANGELS. It took me a minute to realize that my eyes said “angles” and my brain heard “angels” and I was just quite interested in a topic that was simply not being addressed! And I am truly interested in tricky angels–they sound like something I could get along fine with. So beyond my glaucoma, I think some dementia may be whipping me around now, too! lol. I hope the tricky angels don’t get stuck in my brain like some things do and I have to get them designed into a quilt or a greeting card before they’ll go away. We’ll see.
    Have a great week.
