  1. Congratulations to the winner! I love what you did with Sarah’s donation.

I had to giggle I watched this before I saw your comments on my video. I had thought “Hmmm… Parallel Lives again!” I hope you enjoy the week and change with your guy. I know I’m super bummed about my limited time with with mine but putting on the happy mom face for him. He is making a solid decision that will reduce stress mid year. So I’ll suck up and cherish what time I have with him.

    Happy Crafting

    1. Thanks! I do love finishing UFOS that I don’t have a personal history with. It’s very freeing!

Yep, same, same, same! The summer job is a big opportunity for my mankid and while I’ll miss him madly, it’s the best choice for him. You and I will have to spend the summer consoling each other!

  2. First of all I really love that top you are wearing. That is great, is that new?

Second you took a confusingly long trip of fabrics and turned them into two awesome linus quilts. I’m sure the original quilter would love what you did and where they are going.

Third, i can’t wait to see the wedding quilt quilted. At least I got to see it being made! but take care of that ankle so you can start quilting again soon.

    congrats to the winner!!

    1. Yep, it’s new! $4.99 Kohl’s Everday Tee ordered on my birthday using my Kohl’s cash. It’s super soft and I bought a couple more in different colors. I couldn’t drive there before it expired, so I ordered online. Because of course!

I love the way the orphan strips turned out and I have so many more orphan blocks and ufos to go, that I need at least two retreats this year. 😉

I can’t wait to finish the wedding quilt, but I’m also glad the fabric hasn’t come because of the swelling. I need his ankle garbage to be DONE. Everything below my ankle tattoo is currently a wreck.

  3. The quilts are awesome!! I always have loved the scrappy look.
I just can’t believe I won..I was soooo surprised and excited. I immediately showed my husband the video, and I think he was even more excited for me. Thank you so very much.
Take your time and let your ankle heal, there’s no need in rushing the process.
Technically I am doing the QAL. But I am using new patterns instead of what is on the website.
    WOHOOO!!! I WON!!!

    1. Yay, I’m so glad you’re excited! I love doing drawings and getting to do it two weeks in a row was great! I do hope you enjoy all the goodies.

My feet are a constant issue, but this ankle thing is driving me a bit bonkers. I’m ready to do all the things again!

Your personal QAL is brilliant. 😉

  4. The two quilts look great. I would never have been able to figure that out. That was my quilt! It was a project lead by Pat Sloan YEARS !!!! ago. We chose a fabric for each day that was related to the season or something we were doing. I just couldn’t figure out how to make a quilt out of it. I’m SO glad you could. Great there is a teen size one. Thanks for making them.

  5. I really like what you did with the calendar strips. The first quilt is nice and orderly and the second is wild and crazy. I always wonder what the original quilter had in mind when they started their project.
