  1. Oh that sounds like a class I need! I am working on finishing my mother in laws Grandmother’s Garden Quilt. The border is some pretty intense appliqué and way outside of my wheel house. I am going to need to take a class to do it. What little I know is from watching YouTube. This project menas a little to much to me and by husband to wing it.

The HP blocks are really adorable. The fabric choices for Snape are perfect. You can definitely see the hair vs cloak.

    Happy Crafting

  2. You are doing so well on the pixilated HP blocks! I am looking forward to doing that one later this year. Love yours.

    Great churndash.

That applique project looks so fun! 58″ is pretty big for that. I’ve used bias tape for stems for pillows and table runners before. You are going to have so much fun with that, and I can’t wait to see it finished.

    Have a great week.

  3. I like churndash blocks. This whole quilt project is looking good. And you are really coming along on the HP Lego quilt – very cute. Good job on differentiating the cape and hair.
You are very brave to tackle that rather large applique quilt. I find applique pretty daunting, but then I’m an old scaredy cat (plus I can’t hold a needle very well any more). Can’t wait to see your finished product.

  4. Those HP blocks are too cute. I love how pixel quilts look but they seem really complicated to me so I have steered clear and admired from afar. 😉

Sounds like you learned a lot in your class. I keep thinking about joining a guild but I’m not feeling like I belong in the traditional nor the modern one. I guess I will stick with Project Linus for now.
