TTMT #291- jewells68 – December 18, 2018 – Feelin’ Skirty

In which I BRIEFLY, for once, discuss a tree skirt in progress. Not following a pattern, just making it up as I go using scraps.

    1. I have no doubt I will get my money’s worth out of this tool. Just the fact that I could cut 36 perfect squares with no shoulder or wrist pain made it totally worth it.

      Same to you!

  1. I pull my Go cutter out every now and then especially if I need to cut dozens of pieces. So much easier on sore broken body parts. I probably should use It more often.

Merry Christmas!! I still haven’t figured out when we are going over to the kids’ house to open presents. Two of my kids work in a restaurant so I’m sure they’re both working at least Christmas Eve.

    1. I know I will get my money’s worth out of this cutter with just the 2.5″ strip cutter, let alone other dies.

My daughter is also working xmas eve, she works at a store at the mall, but thankfully they are closed on Tuesday so we can all be off work together that day. Have a great holiday!

    1. The tree skirt has not been worked on since, lol. Oh well. I’ll try to finish it up this weekend so i can pack it up with the tree in January. That way it will be ready and waiting for next year at least.

Turns out they overscheduled her for this week so she had yesterday off. She was really glad although she was looking forward to the money. Working today and tomorrow, then off Sunday and back to work on Monday and off Tuesday. I think she only works a few days next week altogether. She’ll be glad to have Tuesday home with us I think. A lot has happened to her since this time last year, for sure!

    1. For the first time in ages my husband and I both had xmas eve, xmas day, ny eve AND ny day off. Phebe had to work today, but not too long a shift. It’s been really lovely.

Best to you for the new year!

      1. Nice that you’ve had so much time! I was lucky to have a lot of time off before Christmas, though I worked today and will work tomorrow. I’m not a big celebrator of New Years, so it works just fine for me.

Anyway, enjoy your time off and your time with your family!
