TTMT #275 – jewells68 – July 31, 2018 – Sorting Ceremony

I think I managed to talk for 6 minutes and not actually show you anything apart from from the grey streaks in my scary humidity-hair. There’s talk of orphan quilt blocks and getting things done. Because talking about getting things done is ever so much easier than actually doing them, lol.

  1. Talking about things are so much easier than actually doing them. Like cleaning my house.

We shut most things down during storms too. Most big things are also plugged into surge protectors. We have loads of lightening storms. We actually lost our modem a couple weeks back from a storm that was a couple miles away. We think It came through the phone line.

  2. I have the strangest feeling you’re going to get sooo many Linus quilt tops soon. Just call me Professor Trelawney!

We could use a little monsoon here. Our usual rainy season… wasn’t. The wildfires are ridiculous this year.

    1. Practically every night this week we’ve had a brief, heavy thunderstorm with lightning. If it would rain more slowly and less “all at once” it might actually help this drought. instead it just pours away before it can soak in…

I have a feeling about that too. 🙂

  3. It’s been raining cats and dogs here too; we’ve been having flash flood warnings in this area. Fortunately we are not in a flood zone so the worst thing we get is really big puddles in the yard; we actually for a little while our yard was a puddle.
I am looking forward to seeing all those orphan blocks find families in your quilts.

  4. We’ve been having nightly thunderstorms. They roll in, sound threatening, pour for 5-10 minutes and then roll away. So flash flooding warnings every evening so far.

I want to crank out a bunch of tops for linus so then I can move on to quilting them!

  5. Haha.. I had to laugh at your comment that talking about getting things done is so much easier than getting them done. That’s like me, every single day, in my sewing room 😀 And then I start something new anyway.

Hope you’re enjoying your vacay with Jennifer.
