TTMT – #25 | A Day Late… And You Know The Rest | 06/19-20/2018

Hi All!

Sorry for the delay… LIFE, as always! Oh well, better late than never. Please excuse the background noises. The little people were with my son, but I had one that insisted on being as loud as she could because she forgets that even though I’m in a different room, I can still hear when she’s acting out! Kids!!! lol

Have a great week!

  1. Great job on the cushions!

You sound busy busy. That is a good machine. I hope you can find the right bobbin case for it. I belong to a vintage Ken more owners group and swap group on Facebook. You might be able to get one from a parts machine cheaply there.

    1. Thank you! I am sure I will find one. When I did a general search for the model I saw links for the manual and a few parts sites. Since it isn’t priority, I will look into it once things slow down a bit.

    1. Thank you Robin. It was such a tragic thing to happen to such a great person. The community has chipped in to raise the reward amount to $10,000 for information on the gunman. I hope they find the person responsible.

The machine is great. I found an online manual and Amazon has the bobbin case for $6. Later I will try to locate any extra cams, if possible.

  2. What a wonderful smile at the end of your video, even with all the pressures this week. I’m sorry about your friend. That would be hard to deal with. Can’t wait to see all the birthday party goodies!
Your such a terrific grandmother, mother, daughter, and friend!! I’m glad you stopped to take a breath during the show – breathing can really help!

    1. Awww thank you Sarah. Smiling is one of those simple things that people often forget the power of. I had to remind myself all week, so Im glad it kicked in for the video!
Oh darn… I knew I had forgotten something…to post a party clue. I sent out save the dates the other day, so I can put that up next week.
(((Hugs))) your words brought a great feeling to my heart! Have an great week!

  3. I’m so sorry about your friend. How completely terrible and sad.
You have so much going on and are such a dedicated Mom and Grandma.
Take care of you too! Which is so hard when so much is happening at once. If we can help you with fund raising let us know.
    Terrific find on the machine.

  4. Thank you, yes it is still unsolved so we are all just at an even bigger loss. Yes, busy busy…I dont think I would know how to function if there wasn’t a ton going on all at once. I try to steal an hour here and there for myself Thanks for the offer. I will let you all know. Darn I totally forgot to order the part so I can test her out. She looks barely used so Im sure she will be fine. Maybe I can get Jax’s mommy to stary sewing since it will be at her place.🤞🏼 Believe it or not she made her 1st quilt when she was in 4th grade and a pair of pj pants.

  5. I am so sorry to hear about your friend. I hope they find the person who did this very soon.
I am glad you got to spend time with your family though. That always helps us get through the bad times.
Let us know when you start making your clutches to sell. I may know some folks who would want one.
I know you are taking care of everyone else, but remember to take care of yourself too. (((Hugs to you))).

    1. Thanks! Yes I know that the though of it makes my stomach ache. Justice needs to happen soon! True, it helped having family close. I will let you know when I start the clutches. Thanks for helping! And yes ma’am I am doing absolutely nothing all evening… my relax and watch tv day!

  6. I’m going backward in time playing comment catch up.

I am so very sorry to hear about your friend. How terrible for the family. *hugs*

Depending on where Jaxon’s surgery is, there might be a place near the hospital for family to stay, like a Ronald McDonald House. If y’all have a hospital liason, they might be able to point you in the right direction.

    1. I think I have a few weeks of comments to catch up on myself.

Yes, I have been on their site looking for info. Most have some type of set-up, but being unsure of so many details at the moment is a bit stressful… When he was at the university here there was a waiting list to get into the family housing so we took turns sleeping in recliners and the pull out sofas for weeks.
