2018 Half Log Cabin Block Swap!

Talk to Me Tuesday Video Makers, sign-ups for the TTMT 2018 Half Log Cabin Block Swap is here!

Thank everyone for your feedback last week. We’ve got lots of quilters in the group and we’ve never (believe or not!) had a quilt block swap. 2018 is the year!

I’ve designed a VERY simple 12″ Half Log Cabin block that can be either traditionally pieced or paper pieced. Patterns will be provided after sign-ups close.

By signing up, you’re agreeing to send at most 11 quilt blocks to other TTMT swappers. Each swapper will make and send no more than one block per month January – November 2018. (Kristel, I totally stole this idea from your swap!)

The swap is open to members that have posted a video to talktometuesday.wordpress.com in 2017.

You have until December 12, 2017 to post a video in order to participate. If you are new and want to post to TTMT or to WordPress, you’ll also need to email sewhooked@gmail.com and tell me who you are so you can be added to the WordPress site for posting.

There’s a lot more information in the sign-up doc. If you have a question not answered there, please let me know!

  1. Hi Jen, I’ve been trying to sign up clicking the link, but it says it’s not accepting responses. Is it too late to signup for the swap?

  2. Sounds like fun!

I like the no December block thing… nice to have that break when other life busy-ness is often ramping up (and nice not to be that person… the last people in the year always seem to lose out the most on block swaps).

    1. I’ve always liked the idea of birthday swaps, but with our group’s birthdays concentrated they way they are, I thought this would work so much better. I also REALLY like taking most of December off for other stuff. 🙂

  3. It looks like fun but I just don’t think I should commit to anything like this for the foreseeable future. Can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with though!
