TTMT #238 – jewells68 – September 19, 2017 – Turtle Cascade

One turtle block, one rainbow cascade block. That’s pretty much it. Hopefully more next week! Susan and Rainey, I keep forgetting to take your FQs to work with me to mail. So last night I put them in my purse so that I can’t forget them!

    1. I am reaching a turtle dilemma. I think I am going to have to use some of the same blue fabrics. My blue bin is sitll overflowing, but many of the blues either just won’t work due to their print or I just don’t have enough of that fabric. Heck, I could probably do a whole quilt using nothing but that hawaiian shirt fabric as my blue! SO I’m going to start repeating my blues I think.

Not enough time to sew anything tonight but I did at least get my fabrics pulled for one more turtle and one more yellow cascade block.

    1. I love my sparkly top. It will be sad when it’s too cold for it. Maybe I can find a sparkly cardigan to wear over it…

*sings* A little bit Hawaiian shirt right here… a little bit of fairy frost so dear…. a little bit of tonal on this one… a little batik makes quilts more fun!

I love having it covered with Jennifer patterns. 🙂

  1. I love those turtles they are so stinking cute . Only just watched your video from last week and congratulations on the baby, glad all is well.

Love your binding, might try that next time I bind . It’s my least favourite job and I have so many quilt tips waiting , mostly due to hating the binding, you might have inspired me to break out my different stitches.

I also now have Mambo number 5 stuck in my head, is it bad that it’s the bob the builder version 😳

    1. The decorative stitches use a lot of thread but I really like how it looks on the back compared to trying to sew a straight line with straight stitches. Straight lines are not my forte, lol.

*points to my reply to Jennifer* Now that’ll be stuck in your head. 🙂

  2. I love the turtles! When I have to use the same background fabric twice I consider it an I Spy matching game lol. I always figure if they aren’t touching than it’s okay.
