    1. It’s been a bad year for walking feet, but I think I’m all set for now. ANd I’m going to be much more careful about how I use them. The Kenmore one is just too hard to find!

    1. The bobbins sew just fine, they just don’t get full, but I think with some practice I might be able to improve upon that. Once I have a chance I can look at the kenmore winder too and see if I can fix it. It may just need some oil or something but I just haven’t wanted to take the chance of getting any oil on the quilt.

Walking feet are the bane of my existence, but I think I’m all set now and am going to be really careful how I use them so I don’t have to go through this again.

  1. New gadgets it’s a pain when you don’t get what you want, it’s so simple theses days to keep customers in the loop. Hope it all works for you xx

    1. I’m just glad I have a walking foot for all my machines again now, and I’m going to be very particular about how I use them because everything is a piece of plastic crap these days. Hopefully I’ll get the hang of the bobbin winder soon.

  2. Sounds like a very frustrating saga of trying to get working bits and bobs for quilting! Walking feet seem to be a particular sort of nightmare for a lot of people. I kind of hate using mine, but the only thing I’ve really learned about them is that you have to use them much more slowly than other sewing feet… I’m not very good at slowing down and taking my time with them though 😀

    1. Yeah, I guess I expect too much from them. And I do get bored going slowly, but it really is imperative to slow down to at least medium when using them. And supposedly you aren’t supposed to sew in reverse with your walking foot.
